Arriving at the North Entrance of the Astro building, where huuuuge satelites can be found transmitting and receiving not only radio but also TV channels through MISAT 1,2 and 3! My ASTRO visitor tag. No.1! THis is the "Fish Tank", which is also XFresh's office along with several other subsidiaries of AMP who takes care of other radio stations.
A look from the outside of the "Fish bowl". Now you see why it's called what it's called. Here is a view at the canteen, where people were having their first ever berbuka puasa. Selamat berpuasa to my fellow muslim friends! A look inside the studio. This is where everything goes on, from recording, live action, editing, mixing, everything that u think is required in broadcasting radio channels!
This is where the interviewees will seat. XFresh invites local stars to speak about themselves, including Jaclyn, Anuar Zain and the upcoming popular singer, Che'Nelle! This is Shaz, the producer cum announcer for XFresh who has kindly allowed me a look at his working life. Thanks! THis is what happens when calls are being made, pretty impressive for a 2 man set up! Typically, you can find a range of number of ppl working at one time... In Light.fm (which u will see next) there's only one guy, in Hitz.fm you will see 2 ppl, Mix has three etc etc
This is the track recording booth where you will be outside the studio making recordings.. THis is important especially when we're ON AIR inside the studio! The complicated setup.. This happens to be one of the modern design types. There are older versions being used in other radio stations, and one really cool prototype being tested in the labs. This is me trying to be an announcer. Evidently I failed because I wasn't given an oppurtunity to go live (otherwise I would have sang my heart out :P) I know, I think I saved your lives.
