Some of you may or may not know about my involvement with a few main projects as described on my About page, but basically one group called RandomAlphabets.com, dubbed as the collective that essentially, seek to bring people together among other things, will be taking most of my time this week. Just a brief nature of RA, some of our projects are large in nature and some otherwise. There are times when we are advocating a cause, and there are times when it is out of enjoyment. But for now, right this instant, it’s about the day our beloved country, Malaysia, obtained its freedom.
This week, it really is all about Merdeka.
It all begun by a fateful meeting by ZainHD (the project manager) with the Relevant People last Friday, and lo behold, that single meeting involving himself at one end, and 6 on the other eventually gave birth to the Merdeka Train Project!
So what is it about? Below is a summary of it all.
Merdeka Train Party (MTP)Happy Birthday Malaysia!Imagine decorating the interior of a house for a birthday party. Now that is exactly what RA will do (in a few public trains!) on 31st August 2009 . You’re invited to join in. Anyone & everyone. We will decorate the interior of the trains. We will meet at 2pm for a briefing, somewhere convenient in KL. To find out about what it’s all about, do read everything found HERE. For more updates do join our group based on Facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=14329425422 Who else wrote about this: Nikicheong.com |
At the same time, we will also be running our RA+D Project, a combined effort by RA and Delicious to release our latest I LOVE KL T-shirts, this time supporting 2 other different causes, details as below:
For each t-shirt you buy Delicious pledges to contribute RM5 to either SPCA or Federal Territories Amateur Gymnastics Association.
It will be on sale at all Delicious outlets beginning September at RM25 each. Ground Floor, One Utama More details here: http://randomalphabets.com/latest/our-new-t-shirts-will-be-at-delicious-outlets/ |
My vision for the project above is very ambitious, yet I know it is possible with the help of my friends out there including all of you blog readers. This will be a start of a new category I’ve been meaning to add, called the Project Mania category, so please check beck for further updates regarding my work on the organisations I’m involved in.
Apart from that though, please always remember that I am still the Chris Tock you know, the very same person who enjoys food reviews and to attend events with all the shared fun along with my blogger friends hehe. After all, we’re all human, right? 😛 Food ahoy, I say!
Coming up next…
Does it make your mouth water? Cafe Chulo isn’t just ANY ordinary cafe 😉
