Why so Mudah.com.my one!

Ever heard of Gumtree.com? You would if you’ve lived in the UK for awhile, cause it provides eeeeverryything you need in the whole wide world and you’d never have to get out of the comfort of your house to get it, nay, if you can even FIND it! I so heart Gumtree and that’s when I was lost clueless when I got back home early this year, because gone were the days I could search for whatever I want, whenever I want and without going through the hassle of going to forums or ebay (you know the routine: registering, logging in, bidding yada yada)

γ€Œ I miss Gumtree πŸ™ 」

That’s when Mudah.com.my came my way. You can find ANY SINGLE THING so long as you just put in the right search words. And like Gumtree, if it’s nowhere near you then forget about it. Sorry la, I’m just like that. Pure lazyness and very impatient. That’s the name of the game what, a feature I can’t live without. If I want something, it must be from Selangor cos I don’t wanna pay high shipping cost, and if the guy or gal damn sporting, just meet, pass cash and receive your new-looking PLAYSTATION 2 Slim (something I really want right now! *hinthint*) for just what? RM500? No way gua.. but see hor..

γ€Œ yes way! Click here if you don’t believe me and see for yourselves! 」

Just click on , fill up your details, and wait la for the person to reply. Direct, one-to-one, no third party commission and simple barter execution, just my cup of tea πŸ˜€

I guess RM500 also may be too much to pay, and if you came across a cheaper unit, be a darling and to me and I’ll buy it instantly, you happy, I happy also ma. That’s what you call instant gratification lol.

I know this looks like a damn hard sell advertorial. Unfortunately for you, I really do approve of this as a previous Gumtree user looking for something similar back home. I would have started one myself but never had that kind of dedication heh… But whatever la, if it was me I would have charged per listing πŸ˜› Like, how often do you come up with FREE CLASSIFIED ADS without taking certain advantage of it lol.

Sigh, this brings back lots of nostalgic memory, especially because that’s when I bought my first ever BB Gun through Gumtree four years back without having to go through all the bidding hassle and what not, just a private meeting between me and the buyer and we even became good friends, talking about how he used to shoot his neighbourcatneighbour’s cat just for funto practice his aiming skills and had so much fun. right. :/

γ€Œ Go visit la, you may find the strangest of all things, like this one lolol 」

ANYWAY, buying, and selling, and everything else it can do, really, never has been so mudah.com.my, really πŸ˜‰

Playing with House Bunnies

Nuffnang once again impressed me with their neverending hard work in pushing for the livelihood of bloggers, and at the same time increasing the standards of online advertising (or more specifically, blogging advertising).

Last month alone they secured 3 premier screenings which I went for, but my favourite was House Bunny which was just last week. It ended with such a fantastic note that I didn’t want to go home and just hang out with some friends instead, just like Zoe who didn’t manage to make me bow when I offered her a chance of a lifetime haha!.

That’s how I got to meet the bunch of bloggers that I’ve never met before, all except Josh la whom I’ve gotten quite acquainted with over several events, including Passion 2008, right after the Malaysian Student Leaders Summit. Pic stolen from Josh lol.

It was really fun hanging out with WetWetWater, Andrew, Ren, Zoe and Josh at Ming Tien’s, after finding out that William’s was closed. What to do, Ramadhan month what haha… that’s the only reason why Ming Tien was also so packed at about 1am in the morning! All in all we stayed until I had to go first, leaving the original gang to themselves… I guess when you have a great company, staying up all night is nothing eh? πŸ˜‰

In any case, here’s some pictures on the first day of my Bali trip which I promised Clem I’ll blog about πŸ˜€

Captions and more pics come tomorrow lol. Too late now. Sreeping time.
UPDATE!

boarding

The four of us decided took AirAsia to Bali. Having my first intranational (is there even such a word?!) virgin flight, I was pretty excited to see AirAsia’s plane up close, though I should be used to this treatment (walking to our plane) after riding with EasyJet and RyanAir, just to name a few, back then when I was studying in London… Ah, the memories.

Reading

The ride was going to be short, say about 3 hours, so I had fun killing time with my DS, continuing my ever-going FF IV. In the meantime Cheesie decided to get some good reading done, though I’m not sure if her definition of “good reading” is anywhere near mine when I took a look at one of the pages of the book lolol. There were no other entertainment whatsoever, but that’s typical in budget airlines.

Food

Kenny couldn’t resist his hunger for just 3 hours (God knows how he is going to run that marathon of his) so he got himself some Nasi Lemak, which he posted about here. He later got a visit by Tony Fernandes who invited him for an AirAsia event and flew him there for FREE. Hey, what about the rest of us la, invicible isit HAHA! Guess we are la. Damn that Kenny.

Plane

Anyway (sigh) the inside of the plane, though, are admittedly in a lot better condition then those you get overseas. Seriously, you don’t know until you actually compare that it’s as good as it gets with AirAsia. People can go ahead and complain but that’s how it is peeps. Now I wonder if Tony’s gonna read this and fly me to his next event haha. Okla I not so stingy, I invite the rest too πŸ˜›

umbrella

3 hours passed and we finally landed on Bali. The view outside as we landed was awesome okay, we couldn’t wait to go down and hit earth! When you see these 2 umbrellas inviting you into their corridor, you know you’re well safe in Bali πŸ˜€

(soon we found out that there were many of such umbrella-ic temples around Bali, thanks to its Hindu heritage)

kenny

And only our lovable Kenny would do such a thing when everyone’s eyes cannot open liddat and are already falling out of its sockets. Crazy-ass fella got a cool sense of humour la I suppose heh πŸ˜‰

Welcome

Aaaaaaaaaaahh BALI HERE WE COME SURFING!

To be continued peeps!! Stay tuned to Tockz.fm πŸ˜‰

Shin Chan Ramen @ Solaris, Mt Kiara

How can you resist such a cute little name, akin to our favourite comic hero of the century, our one and only Shin Chan? Leaving nothing else but hunger in our stomach we proceeded through those pretty doors into a classy, well-illuminated Ramen restaurant.

a

a

As we entered there was this decoration thingie that sort of mesmerizes its viewers located to our right. Coupled with its overall presentation made of white stones and green leaves, the huge boulder spouted water running incessantly down its horizontal layers giving the alluring zen of peace.

a

a

The Japanese waiter greeted us with an unmistakenable hospitality and seated us in one of these classy settings, the usual necessary condiments such as chilli oil, vinegar, salt and pepper already provided. Then the hot paper towel came to our refreshing delight.

a

a

On one end of the wall there were these red tiles and a peculiar hemisphere inside it, with what I think to be whimsical jottings in Japanese. Anyone care to translate? πŸ˜€

a

a

Everywhere else was made in mirrors, so as to make it look like a huge area, expandable into infinite. It provides a great sense of space, contributing to the beautiful aura of this restaurant. I really loved the ambiance, and I hoped the pictures gave enough an impression for you too!

Anyhow, let’s move on to the food stuff, shall we?

a

a

There was a promotion for their specialty Ramen dishes, and so we chose a miso ramen set that didn’t cost as much as the restaurant makes it to be :D. Also thanks to a friend of mine, I’ve got this craving for what we call “Superfoods” whom she claims will help in having a healthy life, and so we ordered Edamame as well. Promotional: buy one free one, I loike!

a

a

The set came, and we were nevertheless astounded withΒ  the amount of food that came with it. The price tag of RM30 suddenly felt all worth it. Here we have:

  • a bowl of miso-based ramen with minced pork and vege
  • a bowl of salad in japanese dressing
  • a bowl of clean tofu
  • pickled vegetable
  • Japanese rice
  • tori kara age in sweet & sour sauce
  • a couple of watermelon
a

a

The Tori Kara Age in sweet sour sauce, more commonly known as Sweet & Sour Pork (lolol) was awesome! Pieces of fried succelent pork went so well with the usual vegetables (onion, carrots, corn and bamboo shoots) and smothered in a very well-made thick sweet and sour sauce that I really, really like!

Suffice to say I downed the whole thing with the slightly sweet and sticky Japanese rice…

a

a

The tofu was ever so delicate, looking so pristine in that white bowl. I’ve never failed to take notice of the way food are presented and so I was very impressed with the selection of bowl and condiments to meld the whole dish together. Such a pure and simple dish to clean one’s palate. I know I’m describing it weirdly but that’s how it was!

a

a

Loved the salad. What else can I say? Crisp shredded lettuce, cucumber and tomato. Drizzled in tangy salad dressing. Can’t possibly go wrong, eh? I really like it though!

a

a

After swarming the set, we didn’t expect anything else because we were so full. A fortunate surprise came though, with the waiter informing us that we will have our dessert now, and out came a dainty looking green tea ice-cream. (On a side note, I think green tea ice-cream is overrated. lol)

a

a

I am now trying to eat healthily so I thought I could mix some Superfoods into the ice cream, hoping it would work. This was what I came up with, unfortunately it wasn’t something many will accept as “food” lol. Why la. Be creative! Taste and mix all kind of things, you’ll never know when you suddenly come up with a striking recipe that will take the world by storm!

Heh 😑

a

a

Okay la, maybe this time i failed a bit. HAHA. I call it “Edamame Extract in Green Tea Frosting“. Looks yummy what, no meh? =P
