Sushi Groove @ Bandar Utama

Once again, Koyuuken and I hit the road for some good ol’ Japanese food… with an extraordinary twist! Sushi Groove, of which I’ve heard from SmashPop’s website, boasted a beautiful selection of fusion Japanese cum Western cuisine. Though a little pricey, and there were not many really diverse selection to choose from, certain dishes were definitely a must try (helps that it looks really apetizing too!)

Sushi Groove’s Menu and Upholstery which certainly looks to fill its namesake

Koyuuken grinning sneakily since he loves ordering the “sweet sauce” that people usually don’t know exist in most Jap restaurants. I swear he drinks it down like water!

The ambience in the area gives a pleasant, greeney aura. Love it!

This, is the Little Dragon Roll. It’s lavish blend of fish egg, buttery avocado and assorted fillings leaps out at you, challenging your taste buds.

The Mayonnaise Dream Roll is really just 6 pieces of crabmeat maki topped with SG’s infamous spicy mayo, topped with ebiko that might as well not be there as its taste is drowned by the mayo. It was definitely an interesting snack, but I’d rather have the item below…

The Dynamite Ball looks like your everyday sinful nature: super tasty with, again, SG’s special blend of mayo topped onto a peice of poached salmon and served on a rice ball. Ignore the fish eggs, once again its taste is drowned by the thick, heavy sauce that may not be everyone’s cup of tea after awhile!

The Calamari Popcorn finished the meal quite nicely. Small bites of calamari dipped in fresh batter and fried till Golden, topped with sweet mayo lime turned out to be a scrumptious ending at SGs *click to enlarge as usual!*

In the end though, we left without feeling full, so we headed to Jusco’s deli section and bought ourselves assorted sushi (which in the end costed less than our meal at Sushi Groove). At home we watched a movie while enjoying the sushi, and we both agreed that this was a better alternative so I would have to give Sushi Groove a 2 of 5 rating, with special attention to their unique blend of flavours and design.

Malaysia International Fireworks Competition 2007

Before I knew it, I found myself in Putrajaya, in one of those beautifully maintained parks situated close to the Putrajaya International Convention Centre. There were families and couples and groups of teenagers hanging around, some laying out mats, some preparing scrumptious picnicy snacks that we were sorely lacking, some even lying down on the grass looking around the crowd streaming in from the highway, where packs of cars can be seen parking in the middle of the road regardless of the law. (our car were the parked with the throng too =P)

It was 9.45pm. All was prepared, ready to anticipate what can be said as the best display of fireworks in Asia starting at 10pm sharp, and will go on for some 20 minutes of spectacular visual display of Pyro. I had already set up my tripod and camera, eager to click on the shutter to capture the beauty of the scenery that was bound to arrive, literally, in explosions. My sisters, Sandra and Samantha, were by my side, their eyes sparkling with the eagerness to see something they drove 40 minutes out of the house for.

And they have never been any less disappointed.

It started with some flowery explosion. There was a moment where a hibiscus was created using a series of fireworks, but I couldn’t capture it!

Blast of blue and mild showers, these visually stimulating performance sended extreme aweness within the crowd

Tentacles ahoy! Amazing display of big bursts of fire….

A view of the imaginary situation if we ever had twin Suns… wow =P

Ever seen an orchid airborne? I did… an Angel gave them to me

And it’s 1, 2, 3 times you’re out at the ol’ ball game! What rythem. What majesty!!

If that doesn’t rock your jaw into an open-state, or screw up your face in awe, this will… Explosions never felt this orgasmic!

And so tuan-tuan dan puan-puan, this is THE Malaysia International Fireworks Competition in the year 2007. This was taken last night, on the 18th of August, where Team Malaysia debuted! I went today as well, but I will post the pictures next round… along with others that I’ve promised to do (like my Vegetarian Food Review with Koyuuken :P)

iDolled? More like iDogged!!!

Cheeso had one of those “I WANT TO MEME EVERYONE AGAIN” moment and I finally got the time to do something about it. (Mainly cause she did a step-by-step instructed post so I follow only lah!)

The problem was, though I considered myself a veteran, I didn’t know what she did in between those steps, and me being the lazy ass I am, I just… tried a shot… and this is what I got!!

This isn’t iDolling… Introducing, iDogging!!
This is iDogged Tock & iDogged Tim *wags tail*

Yes peeps, iDoll is now a thing of the past! I’ve accidently introduced the latest fad: iDogging. Using me and boss stewie as models, you can tell that cutesifying your face will not only make you the cutest thing ever, but maybe even earn you a few brownie points with the dogs of the opposite sex! That is, if you’re into that kind of thing =P

This is the original picture. Yes it was taken recently, and yes, I’m fat now and boss is super red. lol!

Last but not least, here’s a suprise for you…

CHEESIE DOG!

About odd statistics

You know what’s the oddest thing ever about blogging? Just check your stats and you may find about the most random stuff ever, for instance, being linked at unknown (read: utterly unrelated) websites.

Well, it doesn’t help that I did some silly stuff as well, for instance, I once bought this domain name called www.italkcrap.com(don’t bother clicking, it redirects to this blog address), thinking of starting up some really retarded website to collect shittywitty stuff people say over the years, but I never had the time to continue this mini-project of mine. Maybe I should start now, so do let me know where I can find really witty people who can come up with random sentences powerful enough to induce laughter in a crowd. Wait, maybe I’m asking for too much. Why don’t you volunteer? 😀

At least this way, these people won’t find themselves in my silly ol’ blog without any reference whatsoever to www.italkcrap.com. And for my reference (and maybe yours too), it’s the 6th post from the top where they mentioned the site in between their weird arguement about… cars.

Consequently, I never fail to be amazed on how many people visit this site through boss stewie’s and sherve’s blog. The staggering numbers show that in between my hiatus period and now, random people would be clicking on my link on their blog just to 1) either be very pat about popular blogger’s (like boss or sherve’s) friends or 2) generally love me so much they keep coming back for… almost non-existent updates lol. Through my humility, I prefer to think the former is true more often then the latter, but for the sake of my ego, let’s assume that everybody just loves Tock! 😀

Most recently though, are visitors coming over from Pinkpau’s blog. If you noticed, it took just only 3 days before her blog was popping up as my top 20 referrers, and the numbers are by no means a true representation of the total visitors who came from her blog, on just one of her comments on a post no less! So peeps, here’s the moral of the story: comment on Pinkpau’s blog, and you’ll be propelled to some instant fame in the blogging field =P

Question?

What does it take to create something like this?
