London Glutton Series: Ed's Diner & Greenwich Market

It’s been some time since I was back from London. My beloved second city of sights, smells and traditions. Oh how I missed that place, though by the 7th day I was already rearing to be back home to Malaysia. Why? It’s a s-e-c-r-e-t :p

Anyway. Let me take you to a tour at Ed’s Diner. Yummy, yummy place where Boss Stewie, or rather known as Timothy Tiah now, Qi Zhen and I went once for our annual meet whilst still studying in London.

They had these simply awesome Atomic Onion Rings that came with 5 different dips to choose! Pick either the Chili Con Carne, soft cream cheese, buttery avocado, sour cream or sweet thai chilli sauce 😉

P1190093

Of course there’s always the Chips with them Chili Con Carne Looks amazing, no?

P1190099

Bacon strip burger… non-halal of course!

P1190096

My orgasmic Peanut Butter and Banana milkshake… It just doesn’t get any better than this, I swear!

First payment done in pounds and pence… AH THE NOSTALGIIA 😀

Greenwich Market

P1190276

Oh before I end the post… Allow me to show you what REAL roast beef should look like.

P1190275

Oh and there’s of course the Yorkshire Pudding as well. With lovely New Potatoes, my fav!

P1190277

THE MOTHER OF ALL SECRETS TO A WHOLESOME MEAL OF BEEF & YORKSHIRE PUDDING:

MOTHERLOAD OF FRESHLY MELTED CHEESE!

P1190280

Omg omg omg omg look at the heat element melting that huge block of cheese!

P1190285

The melted cheese will then slide off the main block as it gets really near the heating element, leaving a dollop of hardcore soft, melted cheese on top of them beef slices, onions and yorkshire pudding.

P1190286

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is a perfect example of a simple but gorgeous meal best eaten during the cold days of London. How I wish I can have something like this at home here in Malaysia. Oh wait, I think I CAN! Joanne Kay, are you reading this? 😛

Kthxbai!

Laughter, food and Guinness® will be the main focus of the celebration that promises to fill the night with mirth, merriment and mouth-watering Guinness®-infused cuisine. And when it’s about Guinness…

…it’s about class. Like how I got invited to see the Black Eyed Peas as soon as they touched down to Malaysia before their big blast of a concert in honour of Arthur’s 250th birthday. I’m serious.

See? 250th birthday. And he’s not even dead yet, he’s on Twitter!

Sandra's Graduation @ London: Sneak Peak

Here I am walking down to my place of accommodation. Never have I walked this much over the past 3 years, and I must say it DOES feel good!

I just wanted to document today, which was also a historical day. Sandra Tock who’s always been studying locally in HELP is now a graduate of University of London, and it was done in Barbican Centre, London no less joining hundreds of other external UoL graduates from all around the world.

And this is of course made possible thanks to Daddy Tock 🙂

Congratulations Mei, I hope you liked my gift 🙂

Now that I’m back home in Marylebone, with some fruits bought from the corner store by Bond Street, it struck me why I love this beautiful place I call my second home. 2 quid worth of huge red strawberries and 4 quid of green seedless grapes in the cold streets of Oxford Street looks just heavenly.

Bar a couple of Ben’s chewy cookies of course, but that’s a story for another time.

And so is this yummy piece of Salted Beef Tongue, about to be made into a sandwich found in Selfridges, dubbed to be the no.1 store surpassing even Harrods.

But we shall see. For now, nothing shall get in the way between me and my Glee marathon. Sekian, terima kasih 😉
